Panamanian forward Cecilio Waterman has signed a new contract with Chilean club Universidad Concepción for the upcoming season of the Primera División. The move follows his standout performance with Coquimbo Unido, where he scored 10 goals in 26 matches and helped the club win its first Chilean league title. Waterman also played a key role in Panama's qualification for the 2026 World Cup. With this signing, Universidad Concepción returns to the top tier of Chilean football and aims to strengthen its attack.
The announcement was made via Universidad Concepción's official page. The club celebrated the player's arrival with a festive message:
"We open our Christmas gift and bring home our Cecilio Waterman".
