During their set, the Chilean band Candelabro performed a cover of the song “Ultraderecha” by the iconic Chilean group Los Prisoneros. The song was accompanied by a sequence of political content projected onto the giant stage screens. It caused a strong impact at Lollapalooza Chile when images of world leaders, including President Javier Milei, were shown with swastikas on their faces. According to the Argentine News Agency, during that sequence, doctored photographs of the Argentine president, former US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and recently inaugurated Chilean President José Antonio Kast appeared. The incident took place during the performance of the local band Candelabro at O'Higgins Park in Santiago, Chile. The sequence concluded with the phrase “Ultra Derecha” in red letters on the screen. According to the Chilean media outlet La Tercera, the show included other moments with political criticism during the band's performance. In all cases, the images showed the leaders with the Nazi symbol drawn on their foreheads. The projected video also included the image of former carabiner Claudio Crespo, linked to the case of photographer Gustavo Gatica, who lost his sight after being shot with rubber bullets during the 2019 social outburst protests in Chile. In that context, while part of the audience chanted slogans against the Chilean government, the band's singer ironically dedicated a song to “him and his little friends,” referring to President Kast.
