This Sunday, Chile holds presidential elections to choose Gabriel Boric's successor and to also renew the National Congress.
The far-right presidential candidate, Johannes Kaiser, praised President Javier Milei and dismissed differences with his government program, although he stated that the needs of both nations are "not 100% equivalent".
In a press conference, he stated: "Javier Milei has done a miraculous job in Argentina, recovering the country's economic foundations." He added: "Here we have our difficulties, they are not 100% equivalent."
According to the Argentine News Agency, the candidate for the Libertarian National Party (PNL) is third in the polls, behind Jeannette Jara of the Communist Party and José Antonio Kast of the Republican Party.
In turn, Kaiser emphasized that he has not seen libertarian policies that "he cannot support", thus reaffirming the possibility of consolidating an alliance with Argentina in case he wins the elections this Sunday.
In another passage of his statements, Kaiser admitted that he hopes to coordinate with Trump on migration policies and the fight against crime organization gangs.
When asked about his position regarding a potential invasion by the Republican administration in the country governed by Nicolás Maduro, he stressed: "Absolutely agree".
He also expressed his support for a US invasion of Venezuela.
