Chilean President Jose Antonio Kast met with his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei in Buenos Aires on Monday, marking his first foreign trip since taking office in March. The visit comes just days after a failed attempt to arrest former revolutionary fighter Galvarino Ababla. Both leaders, whose political stances are similar to those of former US President Donald Trump, met in December after Kast's election. They were photographed together holding an electric chainsaw, symbolizing their policy of budget cuts. In this way, the far-right Kast continues the Chilean tradition of the president making his first official trip abroad after being elected to Argentina.
